Just a short note for folks who want to go to Kobe after arriving at KIX (Kansai International Airport, Osaka).
We have quite a few options, but I think the best one is taking the limousine bus. There are 2 buses per hour, so no need to worry too much about missing one, and the overall trip takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Bus tickets can be purchased on Klook or outside the airport terminal, and the price is pretty cheap, around ¥2,100 per person (as of May 2026, prices may have changed by now).
Alternative ways
Train, of course! I think there are 2 main options:
Nankai Limited Express to Namba, then take the metro to Umeda Station and continue to Kobe. This could take up to 2 hours, depending on your timing.
Airport Express / Regular Express to Namba, then follow the same route as above - could take up to 3 hours.
Taxi? Lol, unless you have unlimited money, I’d skip it. Taxis in Japan are quite expensive. 😂
Ending
Not just Kobe, but the limousine bus also serves several other locations (check Klook for more details). I think I’d prefer taking the bus more often now - it’s cheaper, pretty fast, and I don’t have to worry too much about luggage!
But yeah, if we (me and my wife) want a better experience and a faster way to get to central Osaka, the Nankai Limited Express is our choice.
We usually go to Tengachaya Station and take the Limited Express back to Kansai Airport to fly home!
