Oh deer, Nara
Deer Nara, I'm here
Well, here we are in Nara, or I could say, the land of the deer haha.
So, the previous night (May 29, 2026), I randomly asked my wife: “How about going to Nara tomorrow for a one-day trip?” She agreed, and then I started researching how to get to Nara.
It’s pretty simple: since we were staying next to Showacho Station (Osaka Metro), we just needed to go to another station, switch to another train, and go straight to Nara.
What did we do in Nara?
Well, basically, we just went there and immediately started walking to Nara Park (honestly, I’m still not 100% sure how buses work in Japan or which is the correct bus to catch, so yeah, let’s just walk there haha).
Even though we hadn’t reached the park yet, wow, there were already plenty of deer around haha. They looked cute, kind of like dogs, I think, and they would try to get into your bag or backpack. Lol, be super careful about this.
There were also some people selling special crackers that the deer love. Man, you have to buy some and try feeding them! A lot of deer will follow you and come right up to you haha.
This was wild and super fun, and a little scary too haha!
So we didn't go deep into the park, just outside, and visited the temple and then had lunch, then went back to the shopping street, and finally headed back to Osaka with a fresh package of Strawberry; it was so good and sweet!
