I'm here, Tokyo!
This was me & my wife first-ever trip abroad!
This was my first-ever trip abroad, and I was really excited, especially since this is Japan we’re talking about ❤️. We (me and my wife) were really looking forward to this trip - our honeymoon trip.
Everything was prepared in exactly 1 month (visa application, itinerary, plans, etc.). We didn’t expect much; for this trip, we just wanted to explore and learn more about Japan.
First day
Arrived at Narita Airport and then rushed to Shinjuku (where we booked a small self-check-in apartment - which was really cool and gave us a lot of independence).
The plan was to visit Tokyo Skytree, then Tokyo Tower, and head back to Shinjuku for food and entertainment. But the plan failed 🤣.
We spent so much time finding the routes, learning how to use the subway, and walking A LOT. So in the end, we were only able to explore a part of Shinjuku.
Second day
We went to Tokyo Tower (finally), then Tokyo Station (because we had a trip to Fuji coming up, so I wanted to figure out how to get to the Bullet Train/Shinkansen platform).
We also wanted to visit a park next, but it started raining, so we changed our plans and visited teamLab Borderless instead.
Last day
We checked out of the apartment, went straight to Tokyo Station, and stored our luggage there.
We went to the park we wanted to visit the day before, had lunch, then headed back to the station for our next destination.
Lol, we missed our booked train to Fuji (we didn’t know how to enter the station, and by the time we arrived at the platform, the train was already leaving. There went our Green Car tickets 🥲).
However, they did let us take the next train, but with normal seats (fair enough, we did miss the train 🤣).
